How do I apply it?

Remove any factory anti-fog film, then clean and dry the lens. Peel the RED tab, position the patch using the BLACK tab and press firmly. Dip in water and gently rub the film to activate, then repeat on the other lens.

Do I need to remove my goggles' factory coating?

Yes. Many new goggles come with a factory anti-fog film that must be removed first, because FOG OFF! won't work properly over the top of it. Wash the lens with a little detergent and wipe with a microfibre cloth.

How long does a patch last?

6+ months of fog-free swims at 3 swims a week. The exact duration depends on how often you swim and how you look after your goggles.

What is FOG OFF! and how does it work?

FOG OFF! is a clear anti-fog patch that sticks to the inside of your goggle lens. The anti-fog film stops condensation forming on the lens, so you get clear vision for your whole swim.
How is Fog Off! different from anti-fog sprays and what makes it better than built-in goggle coatings?

Unlike sprays that require reapplication before every swim, wear-off a few laps and sting your eyes (OUCH!), FOG OFF! patches provide safe, long-lasting fog free swimming for weeks and weeks. No more spitting or licking your goggles (GROSS!), no more baby shampoo in the eyes and no more buying new goggles!! We want to help you keep your existing goggles cause let’s be honest…they're great when you get the FOG OFF! Did we also mention they’re totally safe for the eyes? In an industry where there is little to no regulation, we don’t want you using anything that could potentially be harmful!

Factory anti-fog coatings are great but deteriorate over a short time with regular use. FOG OFF! patches can be applied to any goggles, new or old, once the factory anti-fog film has been removed, and provide superior, long-lasting anti-fog protection that outlasts standard coatings. Our founder knew these patches were special when he was about to throw out a pair of goggles he had been using for approximately 1 year. He applied the patches and they were as good as new. He was able to keep using the same pair for another full year!

Are FOG OFF! patches recommended for new goggles?

FOG OFF! patches can be used on goggles of any age. Many new goggles come with a factory anti-fog film or coating. This must be removed before you apply your patch, because FOG OFF! will not work properly over the top of it. Wash the inside of the lens with a little detergent, wipe with a microfibre cloth (avoid abrasives) and make sure it is clean and dry before you apply.
How long does each patch last?

Each FOG OFF! patch is designed for extended use. With proper care and application, a single patch can provide fog-free swimming for 6+ months at 3 swims a week. The exact duration depends on usage frequency and maintenance.
How should I store my goggles once I've applied the patches?

Store your goggles in a clean, soft, dry place to maintain optimal patch performance. DO NOT store in your wet kitbag! After each swim, gently dry the inside of your goggles. Before swimming, wipe the outside of your goggles with a cloth to ensure the clearest vision.
How do I apply the patches?

Important: any anti-fog film or coating that came with your goggles must be removed first.

1. Remove the factory anti-fog film from the inside of your lens. Wash with a little detergent and wipe with a microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasives.
2. Make sure the lens is completely clean and dry.
3. Holding tab 1 (RED), peel the backing film off the patch.
4. Holding tab 2 (BLACK), line the patch up inside the lens, nose side first.
5. Press on at the nose edge, then smooth outward to push out air bubbles.
6. Happy with the placement? Peel off tab 2.
7. Dip in water. Gently rub the film to activate.

Repeat on the other lens.
I have some small air bubbles under the patch. Is this a problem?

Definitely not! Due to the proximity of the goggle lens to the eye, the brain will compensate and the bubbles will be indistinguishable once the goggles are correctly positioned on the face.
Can I reposition the patch after applying it?

For best results, position the patch correctly on your first attempt. While minor adjustments may be possible immediately after application, repositioning can reduce the patch’s effectiveness and adhesion.
